Yulia Berry’s Flute Studio offers exceptional private flute and recorder instruction for dedicated students of all ages and levels. With locations in Quincy and Sharon, Massachusetts, as well as online instruction available worldwide, the studio provides a complete and highly personalized music education.
The studio is led by Yulia Berry, DMA, an internationally experienced flutist and educator with more than 30 years of teaching and performance experience. DMA stands for Doctor of Musical Arts, the highest professional academic degree in music performance and pedagogy. Dr. Berry earned her degree from the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory.
A Complete Music Education
Students receive much more than traditional weekly lessons. The studio’s enriched curriculum combines flute technique, tone development, musical interpretation, music theory, ear training, solfège, music history, chamber music, and performance preparation.
Each lesson is individually designed around the student’s level, learning style, musical interests, and long-term goals. Students may study for personal enrichment or prepare for school ensembles, auditions, festivals, competitions, youth orchestras, and advanced musical study.

Students of Yulia Berry’s Flute Studio have become gold medal winners in international music competitions and have received top awards at state and regional levels.
During the 2025–2026 season, the studio achieved a 100% acceptance rate for both Senior and Junior District auditions, with participating students earning outstanding placement scores.

Regular Recitals and Performance Opportunities
Performance is an essential part of the studio’s educational philosophy. Students participate in regular recitals, chamber music concerts, seasonal performances, workshops, and collaborative projects throughout the year.
Studio events include the Winter Serenade Recital, Spring Extravaganza, Summer Recital, chamber music performances, and appearances through the Sharon Performing Artists Association.
These opportunities help students develop confidence, stage presence, artistic independence, and the ability to communicate meaningfully through music.
Personalized Support for Every Student
The studio welcomes beginners, advanced students, returning adult musicians, and aspiring young performers. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs while maintaining a structured path toward steady technical and artistic growth.
Students receive personalized guidance, practice strategies, and individualized audio and video feedback. The studio places particular emphasis on healthy playing techniques, efficient practice, expressive performance, and long-term musical development.
