N. Simrock
N. Simrock is one of the oldest and most historically significant music publishers in Europe. Founded in Bonn in 1793 by Nikolaus Simrock, a former horn player in the court orchestra of the Elector of Cologne, the company became one of the leading publishers of Classical and Romantic music during the nineteenth century.
Throughout its history, Simrock published works by many of the era’s most celebrated composers, helping to establish and disseminate some of the most enduring masterpieces of Western classical music. Today, the historic Simrock catalog forms part of Boosey & Hawkes, preserving the publisher’s remarkable musical legacy.
