ABOUT GUOLIANG HAN
Guoliang Han is one of China’s most distinguished flutists, educators, and cultural leaders. As Professor of Flute at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, former Principal Flutist of the China National Symphony Orchestra, and President of the China Flute Association, he has played a pivotal role in the development of flute performance and education in China while maintaining an influential international presence.
Educated at the Central Conservatory of Music and later at Boston University in the United States, Han’s artistic background combines the strengths of both Eastern and Western musical traditions. Throughout his career, he has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australasia, collaborating with leading conductors, ensembles, and artists. His recordings reflect a musical voice distinguished by technical excellence, interpretive depth, and artistic refinement.
Beyond his performance career, Han has established an enduring legacy as a teacher and mentor. His students have achieved success in major national and international competitions and have gone on to perform and teach in prominent orchestras, conservatories, and institutions around the world. Through masterclasses, festivals, educational programs, and international collaborations, he continues to promote artistic excellence and cross-cultural exchange.
