Aihara Flute
Founded in 2006 by master flute maker Masaji Aihara, Aihara Flute is a small Japanese workshop dedicated to handcrafted flute production. Unlike large-scale manufacturers, each instrument is built from start to finish by a single maker, with responsibility for every stage of the process, from tube construction to final adjustment. After spending more than three decades at Pearl Musical Instrument Co., Ltd., Aihara established his own workshop to pursue original design ideas and a highly individualized approach to flute making. Today, he works alongside Kaori Nakajima, a trained flutist and flute maker. In addition to handmade flutes, the workshop is known for developing innovative accessories and specialized instruments, including a one-handed flute designed to improve accessibility for players with physical limitations.
