Mancke Headjoints
Mancke has been producing handmade flute headjoints since 1986. The company was founded by Christoph Mancke, whose background as a flutist and deep interest in instrument construction led to the creation of the first Mancke headjoint. His son, Tobias Mancke, joined the business in 1998 after studying flute and training as a toolmaker. In 2002, he became the sole owner of Mancke Flutes and continues to develop and produce headjoints at the workshop in Speicher, Germany.
Mancke designs and manufactures headjoints for flute and piccolo, using a wide range of materials such as silver, gold, platinum, and various woods, as well as innovative metal-wood combinations. The company also developed a patented interchangeable adaptor system for piccolo headjoints, allowing compatibility with instruments from different makers.
Mancke headjoints are used internationally by professional flutists, orchestral players, and students in conservatories, valued for their precision workmanship and broad range of tonal possibilities.
