The British Flute Society (BFS) Competitions are national contests designed to support and recognize flutists across the United Kingdom. Held annually or biennially in conjunction with the BFS Flute Days or Conventions, the competitions include categories for various age groups and experience levels – from beginners to advanced students and adult amateurs. Winners receive cash prizes, performance opportunities, and national recognition. The competitions celebrate the rich tradition of British flute playing while encouraging emerging talent throughout the UK.
