Founded in 1920 by eminent flutists Georges Barrère and Lamar Stringfield, the New York Flute Club is the oldest flute organization in the U.S. It brings together professional, student, and amateur flutists in New York City through a professional concert series, Flute Fair, ensemble programs, workshops, competitions, and commissioned works. Based in Manhattan, the NYFC nurtures a vibrant flute community both locally and globally.
