Founded in Boston by Juan Arista, the Arista workshop has produced handmade flute headjoints for more than thirty years. Built on a foundation of precise craftsmanship and acoustic research, Arista headjoints are known for their strength, tonal flexibility, and finely balanced response.

Early collaborations with flutist William Bennett and his colleagues Adrian Brett, Richard Taylor, and Chris Taylor helped shape the modern Arista design, emphasizing expressive color, even projection, and clarity across the registers.

Two main styles are available:

L2 Style – combines power, depth, and a broad range of tonal colors; preferred by many British flutists.

Tally Style – produces a lyrical, sweet tone with fast response and clear articulation, reflecting a refined French character.

Arista headjoints are available in sterling silver, 14 K rose gold, and Grenadilla wood, with optional 14 K gold or platinum inserts, gold risers, and gold lips and risers. Each headjoint is individually finished in the Boston workshop, continuing the city’s long tradition of fine flute craftsmanship.
