ABOUT FALAUT MAGAZINE
Falaut magazine was conceived in 1999 as a national Italian flute periodical from an idea by Salvatore Lombardi. Its aim is to “give voice to the flute in Italy, together” — fostering dialogue, exchange, and support among flutists of all levels.
Over time, the movement around Falaut inspired the formal creation of the Associazione Flautisti Italiani (AFI / FALAUT) in 2007, with a core mission to rediscover, promote, and enhance the Italian Flute School in all its facets.
As the organization grew, Falaut evolved beyond a magazine into a cultural hub, organizing festivals, competitions, masterclasses, summer academies, and projects to bridge gaps between professionals, students, and enthusiasts.
