ABOUT CORRADO CRISTALDI
Corrado Cristaldi is a multifaceted Italian artist recognized for his work as a composer, flutist, educator, and satirical illustrator.
A graduate in flute, Cristaldi has dedicated his career to exploring new languages and expressive possibilities for the transverse flute, often collaborating with flutists and instrumentalists to expand its repertoire and sonic horizons.
In addition to his achievements in music, Cristaldi has an extensive parallel career in the visual arts. As a freelance cartoonist and illustrator, he has collaborated with publishers of children’s books, local newspapers, and participated in exhibitions and competitions in Italy and abroad.
From 1994 to 1999, he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, and from 2000 to 2006, at the Conservatory of Music in Palermo. His artistic collaborations include work with the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Nuremberg and the Ajuntamiento of Jaca-Aragona.
Currently, Cristaldi is Professor of Transverse Flute at the Lower Secondary School “G. Garibaldi” in Enna, where he continues to inspire the next generation of musicians.
His dual career as a composer and illustrator highlights his unique place at the intersection of music and visual art.
