Muse Mentors & Flute Stories

ABOUT MUSE MENTORS
Created in 2020 by Grammy-nominated flutist Karen Kevra, Muse Mentors began as a pandemic project born from a desire to create something uplifting, inspiring, and focused on the best of humanity. The podcast features musicians, artists, and visionaries reflecting on the transformative power of mentorship.
Guests have included pianist Jeffrey Chappell, illustrator Armando Veve, circus founder Rob Mermin, and world-renowned flutist Paula Robison, sharing her remarkable experiences with mentor Marcel Moyse.
With tens of thousands of downloads and listeners across every continent, Muse Mentors quickly became a global favorite.
In 2021, Kevra expanded her vision with Flute Stories, a companion podcast that explores the fascinating tales behind the flute’s solo repertoire. Each short 3–10-minute episode blends history, myth, and personal reflection with Kevra’s own performances. Works by Debussy, Hoover, Varèse, J.S. and C.P.E. Bach, Fauré, Feld, Donjon, Ferroud, and others are brought vividly to life, offering flutists and music lovers alike a deeper connection to the music.
