ABOUT NIKKA GERSHMAN
Nikka Gershman is a 17-year-old flutist and composer celebrated as one of the brightest rising stars of her generation.
A Juilliard Kovner Fellow and Haynes Young Artist, she has already earned an international reputation for her technical brilliance, artistic depth, and commitment to innovation.
Her solo performances include appearances at the Wiener Konzerthaus, Beethoven House (Bonn), Walt Disney Concert Hall, Skyview Concert Hall with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz in Los Angeles.
In addition to her stage career, Nikka is dedicated to outreach — performing in hospitals, retirement homes, and shelters — and was named an Ambassador for Music to Save Humanity in recognition of her humanitarian efforts.
As a composer, Nikka has won prizes for her original works, including the Libby Larsen Prize from the International Alliance for Women in Music. Her transcription of Ravel’s La Valse made her the youngest-ever composer published by Theodore Presser.
With a global following of over 34,000 on social media, she continues to inspire audiences across continents through her performances, compositions, and advocacy for the flute as a modern, powerful voice in classical music.
