ABOUT LADY JEANNE GALWAY
Lady Jeanne Galway is an internationally celebrated flutist, acclaimed for her solo and chamber performances as well as her work alongside her husband, Sir James Galway.
Originally from New York, she studied at the Mannes College of Music in New York City and at Queens College (CUNY), establishing herself early on as a versatile performer with a lyrical, expressive style.
She has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras across Europe, the United States, and Asia, and is also renowned for her chamber music collaborations. Together with Sir James Galway, she has appeared on some of the world’s greatest stages, inspiring audiences with their artistry and unique musical partnership.
Beyond the stage, Lady Jeanne plays a vital role in mentoring flutists through the Galway Flute Academy, where she co-directs programs, masterclasses, and online workshops.
She is also deeply committed to supporting young musicians, encouraging them to find their own voices and artistic confidence.
