Emmanuel Pahud has been Principal Flutist of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 1993, joining the orchestra at just 22 years old. A First Prize graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and winner of the 1992 Concours de Genève, he is acclaimed as one of the leading flutists of his generation. Pahud maintains an active solo career, performing with major orchestras worldwide, and is a founding member of the chamber ensemble Les Vents Français.
His extensive discography on Warner Classics spans Baroque to contemporary repertoire, and he is in demand internationally as a masterclass teacher and competition juror.
